The Role:

A Legal Affairs Executive at Autograph will support and protect the organization by problem-solving, providing legal and compliance advice, drafting precise agreements and building processes that scale in a rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and negotiating agreements with potential partners including confidentiality agreements, commercial agreements, term sheets and statements of work.
  • Issue-spotting and performing clearance to ensure compliance with IP rights.
  • Review and confirm that the company's work with partners is consistent with legal agreements.
  • Legal advice to business colleagues and support for compliance and capacity-building initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2-8 years experience working at a law firm or in-house in an IP-intensive environment
  • JD required; California bar or Registered In-House Counsel
  • Strong background in one or more of the following legal areas: intellectual property, technology transactions, e-commerce, licensing, negotiations, compliance
  • Elite organizational and information management skills
  • Process-oriented
  • Knowledgeable but eager to learn
  • Willing to do the work that needs to get done
  • Collaborative but able to work independently in high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Good judgment to escalate issues when required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Entertainment or tech industry experience
  • Understanding of the chain of title, rights clearance and/or negotiations for on-screen talent strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of NFT space and experience with NFT community
  • Knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrencies
