Tasks

Your mission

Our UI/UX team uses the most advanced platforms and tools to develop innovative solutions for our clients. Quality ofwork, sustainability, and user-centered design are paramount.For us, good design is more than just the interface - it permeates the entire project from conception to programming.Your main task as a UI Designer will be to create, document, handover and maintain UI designs (screens, flows) as well as interactive prototypes and design systems. You should work at least 30h/week with us.Our head office is located in Jena. We offer the possibility for everyone to work on-site, in a furnished office, or 100%remote.Our company language is English. Very good English skills are a requirement.

Requirements

Who we are looking for

General:

• You already gained 5+ years of relevant experience as Digital Product Designer, UI Designer, UX Designer or related field.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design (Visual Design, Interaction Design, User Experience Design, Digital Product Design or any similar field) or proven equivalent work experience.
• Passion for UI design, UX design, design systems, interaction design, new types of user interfaces and technological trends.
• The desire to understand the big picture and to translate its vision into a user-centered interaction design.
• Passion for developing new types of user interfaces for blockchain applications.
• Excellent visual design skills as well as experience in implementation in compliance with existing branding / CI guidelines & Design Systems.

Hard Skills:

• Practical experience in daily design work and cooperation with developers - preferably from the agency, tech or startup environment.
• Ability to translate requirements from stakeholders into functional and beautiful interfaces.
• Experience in working with agile teams and sprint set-ups.
• Experience in working together with developers and facilitating a smooth handover.
• Experience in working with design systems.
• Experience in working with atomic design principles.
• Excellent software skills with Sketch or Figma.
• Excellent software skills with design publishing tools, such as Abstract or Zeplin.
• Experience in creating wireframes, user flows, UI designs and interactive prototypes with programs such as Figma, Framer, InVision, ProtoPie, Sketch, Overflow or Zeplin.
• Interest in animation design and / or the ability to display complex UI animations with programs such as After Effects or Flow.
• Basic knowledge and good understanding of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, UI-oriented libraries) and technological standards (W3C, accessibility).
• Good understanding of information architecture.

Soft Skills:

• Good organizational skills and an eye for detail.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in small and large intercultural groups at all levels.
