Sound.xyz is hiring a Design Lead to help build and maintain our suite of tools for artists and their communities. This includes our core song and artist pages for listening parties, Web3 economic tools (NFTs, splits), community management tools, governance and membership tools to empower the next wave of web3-native artists and their communities. You will also be an active participant in R&D for new product lines and experiments we want to run.

Responsibilities:

• Bring an innovative perspective to our ongoing projects in Web 3.0
• Give advice on design best practices to integrate into project plans, and take ownership in their execution
• Help facilitate design thinking and user journey discovery workshops with product management and other stakeholders
• Create and iterate rapidly on clickable prototypes
• Maintain and improve on our design system and work with developers to translate into code
• Help conduct user research interviews and usability testing sessions
• Translate product requirements and customer/user research into clearly defined design deliverables - sketches, tasks flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to a delightful user experience

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in design, understanding what good UI and product looks like
• Experience with jumping into multiple, rapid, and fast paced projects
• A portfolio that can speak to your work and passion!
• Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent written communication and comprehension ability
• Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
• Demonstrated ability to create processes in a fast-paced and fun environment

Nice to have:

• Knowledge and understanding of NFTs and crypto culture
• Familiarity with Ethereum and web3, and the nuances of wallets, tokens, transactions, etc.
