Blockchain Developer

Job Description

• Blockchain Developers at Playground Labs construct the fundamental infrastructure of our metaverse ecosystems built on blockchain technologies. A typical work week will include writing smart contracts, assembling thorough testing suites, and creating web3 snippets for front-end integration.

Job Responsibilities

• Write and test smart contracts for executing on the Ethereum Virtual Machine
• Collaborate with other engineers and write documentation
• Contribute to frontend and backend code that interacts with smart contracts

Required

• Proficiency in writing smart contracts in the Solidity programming language
• Professional knowledge of the Ethereum blockchain and ecosystem
• Ability to fluently interact with smart contracts via web3 in Javascript or Python
• Knowledge of smart contract security principles
• One or more years of professional experience with blockchains or cryptocurrency
• Ability to write clean, well-documented code
• Three references, one of which is from a previous manager

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics
• DAO or smart contract development experience
• Video game development experience, especially blockchain gaming development
• Playground Labs was founded by scientists, and the team loves having scientifically-minded labmates in the studio
