Web3 Data Analyst, Strategic Operations

Who We Seek:

PLBY Group is looking for a Data Analyst to join our strategic operations team. This person will work with brands across the entire omnichannel ecosystem – including Playboy, Yandy, Lovers, and Honey Birdette – to build highly visible reporting tools, extract actionable insights, and deliver recommendations to drive operational improvements. The ideal candidate’s success will not only be measured by the development or deployment of dashboards, but also by the business successfully using and embracing these measurements to make key decisions.


What You’ll Do:

  • Effectively gather, organize and synthesize data relevant to consumer product operations activities: ask appropriate questions to understand hypotheses and requests, and illustrate and present complex data to senior leaders of the organization
  • Maintain and validate data visualization tools or automated reports for business departments across C-Suite, Finance, Marketing, Merchandising, and Operations.
  • Champion the build-out and management of Dashboards and Reports for the business built in modern data visualization tools
  • Lead the continued development of a data warehouse architecture within BigQuery
  • Use advanced data techniques to analyze user behavioral data to identify patterns and uncover opportunities and present to fellow team members.
  • Partner with business leaders to build new tools that use data to solve complex business problems.
  • Assist in the development of new data pipelines, data sanitization and/or consolidation
  • Train co-workers on how to best utilize new or existing data tool sets
  • Maintain a “data dictionary” that enforces a unified terminology across multiple businesses
  • Contribute to the implementation of 3rd party systems reliant on operational, sales, and customer data, including merchandise planning tools, marketing automations, and sales reports
  • Build statistical models to analyze KPI trends and provide insights to our stakeholders
  • Develop and execute A/B testing testing modules, and provide actionable analysis to senior management
  • Contribute to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members, proactively seeking guidance, clarification, and feedback

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong proficiency with SQL (BQ Standard SQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostreSQL).
  • 4+ Years work experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
  • Experience in Marketing, Merchandising or Ecommerce data analysis a plus
  • Experience with data warehouse architecture and implementation through dbt
  • Expertise in Google Analytics
  • 3+ Years experience working with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau or similar)
  • Preferred experience with Salesforce data integrations and architecture
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong proficiency in data languages such as LookML, Python, and SQL
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have unrestricted access to work in the U.S.
