*About the Role *

This is a remote position - We’re happy to work with people based anywhere in a timezone that overlaps significantly with the UK (Europe, Africa).

As a DevOps Engineer on the Web3 Labs Engineering team, you will responsible for building out the infrastructure and lead the technical efforts in the deployment of the new Polkadot Substrate network for a major blockchain project.

You will work collaboratively with the engineering team to create recommendations for integrating DevOps practices and solutions and define deployment requirements (CI/CD).

Requirements

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines
• Experience using configuration management
• A solid foundation of networking and Linux administration
• Experience with Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, GitLab and deploying applications on Cloud
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology strategies and best practices
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Cloud technologies
• Experience using and developing software build scripting: Maven, Gradle or Make
• Knowledge of software automation and tooling
• Understanding and hands-on experience with cloud & container technology (Docker / Kubernetes)
• Bonus

Make yourself stand out!

• Hands-on experience with Geth, Polkadot Substrate or equivalent
• Developed in one or more modern programming languages Java, Python, or Scripting languages
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform
• Knowledge of infrastructure cost analysis and optimization
