About People & Culture Business Partner
As a People & Culture Business Partner (HRBP) at Flipster, you will play a key role in aligning talent strategies with business objectives. You will partner closely with regional and functional leaders, providing strategic HR guidance to enhance team effectiveness, drive organizational growth, and foster a high-performance culture. This role requires a proactive and data-driven approach to problem-solving, strong stakeholder management, and expertise in navigating complex people challenges.

Responsibilities

    • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, providing coaching, insights, and data-driven recommendations to align talent strategies with business goals.
    • Lead organizational readiness planning, incorporating insights from local P&C teams and business leaders to drive annual talent planning activities.
    • Develop and maintain a competency framework in collaboration with functional leaders to support career development and workforce planning.
    • Serve as a key advisor to functional leaders and people managers on HR-related matters, including talent development, organizational design, and workforce planning.
    • Partner with managers to drive accountability for team performance and overall organizational health, providing support and influencing leadership decisions.
    • Leverage data and analytics to diagnose challenges, identify trends, and implement effective people solutions.
    • Identify team effectiveness and learning needs; design and facilitate global and regional programs, processes and high-impact initiatives.
    • Build and iterate bilingual communication guidelines, tooling (e.g., Slack app auto-translation), and cross-culture onboarding to ensure seamless collaboration between multi language-speaking teams.
    • Support business transformation and change initiatives by fostering adaptability and resilience among teams.
    • Work collaboratively within an agile, fast-paced environment, enabling teams to operate efficiently while navigating complexity and ambiguity.

Qualifications

    • Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, with significant HR Business Partner expertise in the tech industry.
    • Fluency in English and Korean is required.
    • Strong influence, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior leaders.
    • Proven ability to thrive in a high-performance, fast-paced environment with resilience and adaptability.
    • Exceptional coaching, communication, and leadership skills, setting a high standard of excellence.
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business needs into actionable talent solutions.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to drive decisions and measure impact.
    • Expertise in change management, capable of navigating organizational complexities and ambiguity.
    • Cultural sensitivity and experience working in diverse, multicultural environments.
    • Experience partnering within an agile(scrum) environment.

Preferred

    • Experience in managing talent operations and fostering culture in a global remote team environment.
    • Experience in designing and managing Compensation & Benefits frameworks in fast-paced Tech, Fintech or IT industries. 
    • Experience in designing and developing competency frameworks from scratch and successfully integrating them into performance management systems.
    • Proven experience in bridging communication gaps between Korean and English-speaking teams in a global organization. 
    • Background in organizational development is a plus.
