Marketing Development Representative NEW YORK MARKETING FULL-TIME CompanyR3 is an enterprise blockchain software firm working with a broad ecosystem of more than 300 members and partners across multiple industries from both the private and public sectors to develop on Corda, our open-source blockchain platform, and Corda Enterprise, a commercial version for enterprise usage. Our global team of over 350 professionals in 13 countries is supported by over 2,000 technology, financial, and legal experts drawn from our global member base. Our Corda platform is already being used in industries from financial services to healthcare, shipping, insurance and more. It records, manages, executes institutions’ financial agreements in perfect synchrony with their peers, creating a world of frictionless commerce. The Marketing Development Representative (MDR) will be responsible for identifying, nurturing, and qualifying inbound marketing leads for our Banking and Capital Markets Sales team. They will respond to leads from outbound campaigns, contact submissions and potentially chatbots. The role bridges the gap between sales and marketing to accelerate the sales cycle, and is key in driving new business (net new revenue) for the sales team. The successful candidate will help the sales teams by qualifying inbound leads, optimizing the marketing to sales handover process, and enabling sales to focus on high quality leads, increasing the chance of conversion to opportunity. During this process the MDR will be responsible for taking the necessary steps to qualify, nurture and educate leads, and to understand the needs of each potential customer. They will be responsible for determining initial lead-fit, and filtering prospects to give our AE’s better-qualified conversations. The role reports to the Head of Americas Field Marketing and will work closely with the wider marketing team to ensure we deliver a customer-focussed Account Based Marketing (ABM) approach to R3’s target market. They will work with marketing to deliver relevant news and content to prospects and nurture these prospects through the funnel. They will also provide our product marketing team with new content insights and help them to further develop our ICP (ideal customer profile). Feedback and coordination of resources with the sales and marketing teams is vital to success in this role. MDR responsibilities include: Responsible for all inbound marketing sourced leads and contacts, and their development through our funnel.
Research target accounts and identify stakeholders in the buying process.
Follow up and nurture inbound marketing leads via phone and email, to identify and qualify marketing qualified accounts (MQAs) opportunities.
Become a trusted partner and develop relationships with potential prospects before handing over to sales.
Understand a prospect’s business and its internal workflows before deciding if they will be a good-fit customer.
Update lead and prospect interaction in Salesforce.com to ensure effective lead management and continuous data integrity.
Instigate feedback loop between sales and marketing.
Work with Field Marketing managers to develop email nurture campaigns for new sales prospects.
Track communication with current and potential customers in Salesforce.com and using the 6Sense platform.
Schedule meetings between Account Executives and potential customers. Skills and qualifications: 2-3 years of experience in a customer-facing or Marketing role. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Account Based Marketing. Hands-on experience and proficiency with marketing automation tools such as salesforce.com, Pardot and 6Sense. Strong project management skills, and proven ability to manage numerous diverse projects. Willingness to ‘roll up their sleeves’ to get things done. A collaborative and flexible personality who can work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and adapts easily to change. Ability to learn new concepts, understand customer needs and articulate how our solution and value propositions meet those needs. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent listening skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Motivation, drive and a self-starting attitude. Bachelor’s degree required.
