Job Description
We are seeking a Transaction Monitoring Program Manager to join Cash App and support the continued build of our Financial Crimes Compliance program. Our mission is to make banking and financial services accessible to the underserved and unbanked by developing an outstanding compliance program to help grow the Cash App business while protecting the broader financial ecosystem and the Company.
You will support the Financial Crimes Investigations teams by contributing to the design and effectiveness of our detection, monitoring, and reporting operations program for financial crimes related to money laundering and terrorist financing. You will collaborate with Compliance Leads and other partners to ensure our program complies with all applicable laws and regulations across jurisdictions. You will demonstrate excellent knowledge in regulatory requirements, process and systems design, data analytics, and documentation abilities.
You Will
- Evaluate current operational processes to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and industry best practices
- Evaluate BSA/AML transaction monitoring and suspicious activity reporting requirements for all products or features
- Build tactical and scalable solutions for operational teams to manage compliance tasks and risks
- Collaborate with technology teams to roll out enhancements to systems and tools that facilitate operational efficiencies and meet regulatory requirements
- Make recommendations for and help implement process improvements and procedure updates across the Financial Crimes Investigations teams including Transaction Monitoring, Bitcoin Investigations, Special Investigations Unit and SAR
- Draft and maintain relevant documentation and content for changes to the program in adherence to regulatory updates, new products, and overall Compliance team procedures
- Communicate the progress of and oversee the end-to-end implementation of each operational change to leadership and critical partners
- Stay informed of regulatory developments, industry trends and Cash App roadmaps to guide decisions
- 4+ years as a project or program manager with direct experience in BSA/AML compliance and operations or 5+ years in relevant financial crimes, transaction monitoring, or SAR roles
- An analytical and metrics-driven approach to create substantiated solutions
- Knowledge in BSA/AML regulations, governance, risks and typologies
- Experience performing in a high growth environment
- Experience working independently and with team members of all levels
- Relevant industry certifications (CAMS, CFE, CFCS, CRCM)
- Experience with SQL, Tableau and/or Looker
