Chain is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Head of Business Development candidate in the Boston area with a deep passion for blockchain technology. A passion for disruptive, exponential technologies in general is a bonus. Chain is an award-winning technology company that specializes in blockchain related services and software with production ready products in the market. 

As a Head of Business Development, reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you will engage with prospects via phone, personalized emails, and video conferencing. You will identify new accounts and qualify new outbound and inbound sales opportunities and work closely with Marketing to provide feedback on campaign performance, improve lead qualification, and lead scoring. Additionally, you will develop, test and iterate outbound campaigns to drive new outbound opportunities and keep detailed notes of activities and ensure data cleanliness in Hubspot/Salesforce. You will also represent the company and educate prospects at trade shows, conferences, and private events.

Key Requirements

    • 10+ years of business, sales and partnership development experience with enterprise SaaS
    • A proven track record of building a solid pipeline by seeking and qualifying leads and developing opportunities
    • The initiative to seek out new ways of finding opportunities i.e. LinkedIn, Drift
    • Ability to easily understand and pitch new products and technology, focusing on value prop
    • Naturally curious and an eagerness to learn
    • Ability to quickly adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
    • Unafraid to fail and quickly owns up to it
    • Sport Marketing Experience is a must
    • Financial, blockchain, or crypto industry experience is a plus
    • Some travel will be required
    • Residency in Boston, MA is strongly desired
