About the Role

We are looking for a highly driven, proactive and well-versed Accountant who is excited about helping pave the way for crypto accounting. The position offers a considerable opportunity to have a large impact within a hypergrowth and evolving organization.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Reporting & Policy Accountant will also work closely with our Assistant Controller to research, establish and document accounting policies around revenue recognition, consolidation, valuation, foreign currency, etc. as well as help analyze new deals for accounting implications. They will also help build US GAAP financial reporting models, put together US GAAP financial statements, and help manage the audit.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Review / analyze monthly financial results
• Document over-arching accounting policies
• Document deal-specific accounting treatment
• Maintain a US GAAP financial statements model
• Draft US GAAP financial statements
• Help manage the audits
• Liaise with the Tax Manager
• Assist in ad-hoc information requests, accounting policy discussions, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 6+ years of US GAAP public entity experience
• US CPA is required
• Problem-solving skills, attention to detail
• Experience working in a fast-paced, demanding environment
• Big 4 experience is an asset
• Experience with ASC 606 is an asset
• Experience in financial services is an asset
