RN Payment Data Scientist Summer Intern 2022

Ripple is building the world’s next-generation payment network backed by our advanced blockchain technology. RippleNet, Ripple’s core product, makes it easier than it’s ever been for our customers to run a high-performance payments business.

In order to drive innovation faster and be more customer-centric, we look for someone who is passionate about data to join our payment data science team! The internship will be a great way to make contributions to the continued success of RippleNet payment solution and also get started as a Data Scientist in the fast-paced FinTech industry.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

You will work with a team of engineers and scientists who use data to drive Ripple’s strategy and success. The entire RippleNet payment team works collaboratively and is a strong partner for teams across the company. You will get to meet and learn from diverse and talented colleagues.

Data science candidates will dive in on high-priority initiatives, including developing cost-saving strategies for RippleNet payment products, defining new performance metrics for the RippleNet network, and/or analyzing emerging markets and customer preferences.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or in a graduate program, preferably in a science or quantitative field
• Hands-on experience with tailoring and applying quantitative approaches to business questions, and analyzing and interpreting data
• Experience with SQL, Python or R, and some data visualization tools
• Solid understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning models
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams using strong written and verbal communication skills
• Leads with inclusive actions and has a strong work ethic
• Interests in open-source, entrepreneurship, economics and financial markets, creative thinking, systems thinking, or cryptography is a plus
