Who We Are?

The Solana Foundation is dedicated to the adoption, decentralization, and security of the Solana network. Our mission is to help support and grow the Solana network and its community while driving mass adoption for blockchain. The Solana Foundation is working to realize a world where individuals own their data, use permissionless networks, and transfer information freely around the world.

What we do:

The business development team supports each of these three pillars, with an emphasis on adoption. Our work primarily focuses on three categories:

• Why teams should build on Solana
• How teams can most effectively build on Solana and
• Supporting the continued success of teams in the ecosystem.

We wear many hats: a successful BD team member often flexes the skillsets of technical sales, solutions engineering, go-to-market strategy, product management, and relationship management.

We support teams building on the Solana blockchain with developer education, connections to teams across the ecosystem, product design reviews, and opportunities to build entirely new products and experiences together.

To be successful in this role

You will:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for relationships with APAC-based exchanges and lead various partner initiatives in concert with them
• Brainstorm and strategize ecosystem growth opportunities in Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam or other vibrant crypto jurisdictions in Asia
• Interact effectively with the broader Business Development team, Solana ecosystem, and associated builders

You ideally have:

• 2+ years of experience working at a crypto exchange servicing the APAC region (Huobi, OkEx, Binance…etc)
• Fluent Mandarin speaker with strong English skills
• Fintech and/or Defi product and industry knowledge with relevant project experience
• Existing relationships with APAC investment firms, both web3 and traditional, and the ability to lead and manage these relationship (i.e., keep them closely informed of what is going on with the Solana ecosystem)
• Strong connections to key parts of the APAC crypto community
• Interest in cultivating and maintaining a growing ecosystem of builders, community members, and capital allocators
• Multiple examples of managing high-impact, multi-stakeholder products or projects
• Strong ability to operate in uncertain and ambiguous environments

Bonus points for:

• Additional language capabilities (e.g. Korean, Japanese, SEA-based languages)
• Previous experience working in or with the Solana ecosystem
• Strong presence on crypto communities, social media (Twitter..etc), and/or you maintain a crypto focused blog
