We’re looking for a Founding Solutions Engineer, a hybrid role blending profound data engineering expertise with exceptional customer-facing skills. This role is critical in managing our data infrastructure while facilitating prospects' and partners' transformation into devoted customers and advocates. As a Founding Solutions Engineer, your main focus will be on meeting customer needs and engaging deeply with customers. However, there's potential to contribute directly to product development, designing product features, and shaping our platform's future. Comprehensive training will be provided to help you become a blockchain/Web3 data expert, amplifying your role's impact.
This position is full-time.
Responsibilities

• Skills: Python, SQL, Spark
• What you'll doEngage directly with customers: provide education, conduct demos or proof of value projects, ensure customer requirements are prioritized and communicated back to the engineering team
• Empower data analysts and developers with tools for creating pipelines and conducting batch data processing with DAG workflows.
• Create and deliver customer-presentable collateral, including presentations, educational sessions, demonstrations, etc.
• Provide guidance and support to customers on SQL-related issues, building and optimizing queries
• Potentially contribute to production code and product features; optimize ZettaBlock's data pipelines and workflows.
• Possibly own the end-to-end product lifecycle of identifying, designing, and building new features
• Innovate by ideating and possibly constructing new starter kits/data products based on customer interest and industry trends.

• 5+ years of experience in B2B, SaaS tech, with a background in technical pre-sales or solutions engineering, preferably for databases/data warehouses.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand language for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of the data model, data engineering, and SQL with query building and optimization skills.
• Experience with product development, coding, and designing product features with a focus on prioritizing customer requirements.
• Ability to tackle complex design, scaling, and performance issues in big data.
• High-level familiarity with Crypto-Industry, including Blockchain, Web3, Cryptocurrency, DeFi, dApps, CBDC, etc.
• BA/BS in STEM, Economics, Business, Engineering, Operations Research, or other quantitative focus (or equivalent work experience)
• (Nice to have) Past experience in a sales-related role.
