​​Coinify has been registered as a virtual asset service provider with the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority since January 2020. As a regulated crypto company, we have a large number of policies, procedures and operational tasks to handle. Therefore we are looking for the Finance Controller to join the Coinify team!

You will join the Finance & Operations team where you will get a chance to work in a multicultural company embracing +20 nationalities with a fifty-fifty gender ratio. We take pride in not only being a compliant front-runner within a new booming industry, but also being a frontier in shaping tomorrow's organizations with a clear ethical and compliant mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance:

  • Maintain the general ledger and perform account reconciliations.
  • Manage payables and payroll processes, ensuring compliance with Danish accounting practices.
  • Oversee VAT and payroll tax processes and reporting.
  • Keep bookkeeping and accounting up to date.
  • Handle monthly and annual closing processes and prepare management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements.

Finance & Operations:

  • Work closely with the teams to ensure accurate financial records for crypto-related transactions.
  • Contribute to the development of internal controls around cryptocurrency holdings and transactions.
  • Implement process improvements to streamline financial operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate financial data into the company’s wider strategic framework.
  • Assist with other ad hoc office administration tasks.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting.
  • Solid understanding of Danish GAAP; knowledge of IFRS is a big plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Danish is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with cryptocurrency transactions or a good understanding of digital assets is a big advantage.
