- Define the long-term strategy, direction, and product roadmap for Coins’ payment infrastructure.
- Analyze payment options and providers from cost efficiency, compliance readiness, operational risk, technical architecture, and scalability perspectives.
- Evaluate new payment channels such as banks, PSPs, e-wallets, stablecoin networks, and cross-border corridors.
- Develop competitive market strategies for Singapore, Hong Kong, and other APAC markets Coins targets.
- Collaborate with Compliance, AML, Risk, and Security teams to ensure payment strategy aligns with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
- Work with Product and Engineering to translate strategic direction into executable payment features and system architecture plans.
- Produce future-state payment architecture maps showing how Coins’ payment system should evolve across regions.
- Monitor AML/CTF, payments regulation, consumer protection, and outsourcing rules to ensure strategic direction remains compliant with internal governance frameworks.
- Prepare board-level strategic materials to support decision-making for new markets, licensing approaches, or payment infrastructure investment.
- Build business cases and financial models comparing cost structures, FX models, settlement flows, and partner economics.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in payments, fintech strategy, remittances, digital wallets, or payment infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of how payment systems evolve across cross-border transfers, wallets, card schemes, acquiring, and settlement flows.
- Strong ability to design strategic roadmaps and articulate long-term payment direction.
- Experience analyzing payment rails across cost, efficiency, compliance, operational risk, and technical architecture.
- Familiarity with AML/CTF requirements, consumer protection obligations, IT/security controls, and vendor risk management (aligned with Coins’ internal governance standards).
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Compliance, Risk, Product, Engineering, and Security teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with experience presenting to senior leadership.
Nice to Have
- Experience with payments governance frameworks in Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand .
- Understanding of stablecoin-based payment rails and how they affect cross-border cost and settlement efficiency (strategy-level, not engineering).
- Background in payment architecture design or technical solutioning with Product/Engineering.
- Prior work in a digital wallet, PSP, CEX, remittance network, or global cross-border payment provider.
- Ability to model corridor economics, FX/treasury flows, and cost optimization at scale.
