Pinata is creating a world where people can own the experience of creating and distributing content. Part of this world is built on top of emerging protocols such as IPFS and blockchain technology.

We’re building a team who can comfortably work with open source technologies, but also directly improve them. In other words, we need somebody to help us build on and improve one of the foundational layers of web3. If you’re the type of person who likes to build and innovate with brand new technologies, this is the role for you.

Your responsibilities will include: Familiarizing yourself with the open source protocols that Pinata builds on (specifically IPFS) Breaking down the needs of Pinata and finding ways to improve either tooling or the direct protocols that Pinata is building on. Utilizing the modules that make up the IPFS codebases to build custom functionality for Pinata and modifying those modules where needed. Assume technical responsibility of various complex systems

Job Requirements: Strong technical expertise in modern development framework, toolsets, and development methodology Extensive experience working with GoLang and/or Node.js The ability to analyze, work on, and improve open source technologies. Experience with networking / distributed systems. Knowledge of cloud technologies / environments Bonus: knowledge of IPFS**
