THE OPPORTUNITY

Phi Labs is seeking a talented and motivated Engineering Manager with experience in web 3.0. You will be managing up to 12 engineers across several engineering squads working across protocol and research development, network operations, software tooling, and developer relations.

Technical (hard skills) Must have:

● Experience building software with Rust or Golang, in

production environments.

● Hands-on coding ability

● Experience with the fundamentals of blockchain technology

and developer platforms

● Technical aptitude to ask engineers good questions about

architecture and product decisions

Non-technical (soft skills) Must have:

● Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational skills.

● Knowledge of the crypto space (bonus points if full time for

over 6+ months at a crypto company)

Basic Qualifications:

● At least 5+ years managing high performing engineering teams

● Hands-on Software Development experience in crypto

● Have managed engineering teams of 8+

Preferred Qualifications:

● Experience in crypto, professional or personal, or an interest in the same

● Experience successfully onboarding onto a new organization as a manager or director

● Proven success leading multi-team programs

● Demonstrated history of collaborating with product on setting a product roadmap

● Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent

What You’ll Do:

● You will mentor other software engineers, setting and demonstrating high standards and technical excellence

● Analyze, propose and manage budgets, technologies and resources for projects

● You will build & lead high performing engineering teams by motivating your team and leading by example to continuously innovate, improve and think differently

● Create shared vision and build and maintain strong partnerships with Product Management, Ops, Security,

Research, Customer Success and Business development teams

● Responsible for entire software development life cycle for your team’s deliverables
