Our approach merges the existing payments infrastructure with digital assets by creating a a global network of regulatorily approved digital asset liquidity providers.

What is the role?

The Head of Government Relations and Compliance is tasked with leading Fortune's efforts to maintain regulatory compliance across all operational facets. This strategic role involves having a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape, proactive engagement with regulatory bodies and ensuring that Fortune's products and processes adhere to the latest regulatory standards, particularly in the dynamic and strategically vital regions of the GCC and the larger Middle East.

Responsibilities?

In this role, you will:

  • Compliance Leadership: Oversee and continually enhance Fortune's compliance framework to ensure that all products, services, and processes remain in strict adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines. This includes monitoring regulatory changes, conducting risk assessments, and implementing necessary compliance controls and procedures.
  • Regulatory Relationship Building: Establish and deepen relationships with regulatory authorities and bodies across key markets in the GCC and the Middle East, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. This involves regular communication, reporting, and negotiation to advocate for Fortune's business model and operational needs.
  • Market Entry Support: Facilitate Fortune's expansion into new markets by ensuring regulatory acceptability of our solutions in each target market. This includes conducting regulatory analysis, securing necessary licenses or approvals, and working closely with the product and development teams to tailor solutions to meet specific regulatory requirements.

The Head of Government Relations and Compliance is a pivotal role within Fortune, requiring a professional with extensive experience in regulatory compliance, government relations, and risk management, particularly within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the regulatory landscapes in the GCC and the Middle East, have a proven track record of successful negotiations with regulatory bodies, and demonstrate the ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable business strategies. This role calls for a leader who can navigate complex regulatory environments, foster strategic partnerships with government entities, and ensure that Fortune remains at the cutting edge of regulatory compliance and market expansion.
