Nickel Digital Asset Management is an FCA authorised investment manager comprising of a growing team of experienced finance professionals and developers trading in the crypto domain, where each team member directly contributes to the success of the Company.

We have a dedicated Decentralised Finance (DeFi) team and the DeFi Analyst will joining a growing team of five, involved in researching new launches and work directly with our Portfolio Managers to advise on portfolio allocation.

This is a great opportunity to grow your knowledge and career in the DeFi domain and establish yourself in a high calibre team within London’s premier digital asset manager.

Working out of our office in St. James’s Street (Tube: Green Park/Piccadilly), the DeFi Analyst shall be responsible for:

• leading the research into newly launched / forthcoming DeFi protocols, focussing on traditional and novel fundamental valuation methods
• developing valuation models for assets tied to the protocol and the application layers
• participating in designing of real-time blockchain-facing data-collection and monitoring tools informing the valuation models used for different assets
• collecting data from various sources (APIs, blockchains, dashboards) as needed to develop research theses and valuation models
• working directly with Portfolio Managers on forming and dynamically adjusting optimal directional portfolio allocations in the space
• identifying yield opportunities in newly launched projects with asymmetric risk/reward

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• passionate interest in blockchain technology and Decentralised Finance protocols.
• deep understanding of leading decentralised blockchain protocols and DeFi projects, their goals, and limitations
• interest and experience in financial modelling
• fluency with concepts in economics, and broader interest in tokenomics and game-theory
• experience interacting with various DeFi projects (yield farming, governance)
• ability to code (Python/R/ JavaScript) will be a plus
• a STEM/Economics degree from a premier institution like Oxbridge or the Russell Group
