Web3 Communications Manager

Steel Perlot is seeking an experienced in-house communications manager to support our fast-paced growth and exciting expansion. The right candidate will have at least seven years of work experience; be motivated by work across a variety of tech and science-adjacent industries; and be a self starter passionate about growing teams and creating structures to amplify success.

SP is focused on four primary verticals: Disruptive Finance/Web3, AI/ML, Synthetic Bio, and Physical Sciences (including quantum, chips and energy).

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 7 years of work experience in public relations, journalism, PR agency or corporate settings
• Be able to handle multiple projects and thrive in a very dynamic environment
• Team-player with a positive attitude and be passionate about emerging technologies
• Excellent organizational skills, demonstrating strong attention to detail
• Self-starter who scan balance creative and critical thinking abilities with tactical execution
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to turn sometimes technical information into engaging content
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead a process involving many stakeholders
• Deep understanding of social media, online marketing, and cultural trends
• Has a “do what it takes” attitude with a high work ethic, integrity, and is not scared to “roll up their sleeves” to execute and drive result
• Flexibility to handle directional changes with the ability to juggle moving priorities to ensure project success

Roles & Responsibilities

• Report directly to CEO, work closely with external agencies and liaise amongst team leads to streamline information flow and company news.
• Responsible for keeping sight of company and investment portfolio timelines.
• Develop content strategy and calendar aligned with SP’s goals and investment portfolio
• Responsible for drafting communication materials, including press releases, fact sheets, newsletters, and other related materials
• Responsible for managing social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram), including creating and posting content to amplify company and investment portfolio news
• Create and maintain various tracking documents, such as news articles mentioning the company and/or its investment portfolio
• Assist in the planning, production, and execution of all brand(s) events, including collaboration/partner activations
• Maintain and manage PR assets and contact database for each company in SP portfolio
• Manage media inquiries that come into the media inbox working with appropriate team leads and outside agencies to address as needed
• Assist and support in the creation of messaging for the company for external and internal audiences to SP
