Who We Are
BitRobot Foundation:
BitRobot (https://bitrobot.ai/) aims to enable global collaboration in Embodied AI research with crypto incentives. Built as a network of subnets, each subnet contributes valuable outputs, from compute resources to real-world robot fleets, to datasets (real-world or synthetic), to Embodied AI models, across a wide variety of robotic tasks and robotic embodiments, from sidewalk robots to humanoids.
Frodobots:
FrodoBots Lab (https://www.frodobots.ai/) is pioneering advancements in Embodied AI research at the intersection of crypto and gaming - and one of the first contributors in the BitRobot ecosystem. Our products include robotic gaming titles like ET Fugi and Ultimate Fighting Bots (UFB), Robots.Fun—an embodied AI launchpad—and SAM (Small Autonomous Motherfucker), an autonomous AI agent constantly livestreaming its adventures. By leveraging real-world robotics and gamified incentives, FrodoBots generates scalable datasets that propel AI research forward. In collaboration with DeepMind researchers, the company has organized the Earth Rover Challenge, a mission to compare AI and human capabilities in robotic navigation. FrodoBots has also open-sourced FrodoBots-2K, the largest urban robotic navigation dataset, providing an invaluable resource for the AI research community. Through its Earth Rovers platform, FrodoBots combines real-world exploration with data generation, offering three versions of its sidewalk robots starting at $149 each.
Frodobots is backed by top-tier crypto investors including Protocol VC, Big Brain Holdings, Fabric Ventures, Solana Ventures, and more.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Solana developer to own technical delivery of the on-chain components of the BitRobot protocol.
You will:
- Specify, implement, upgrade, and document core modules of the BitRobot protocol, ensuring secure integrations while prioritizing overall integrity and composability.
- Work closely with full-stack developers (who will manage off-chain systems) and other ecosystem partners (e.g. subnet owners) to iteratively build and improve the on-chain primitives and systems to support the BitRobot protocol and ecosystem.
Skills:
- 3+ years of Rust / SVM development experience with a track record of deploying production-grade applications (must be familiar with core primitives and commonly used infrastructure inside the Solana ecosystem).
- Familiarity with IPFS CIDs and related technologies (e.g., IPFS, CAR files).
- Self-starter with the ability to fully own delivery of systems: from rolling up sleeves and implementing components directly to scoping and project-managing contractors where required.
- Highly collaborative and able to work with other contributors around the world.
- Exceptionally detail-oriented with a knack for producing thorough documentation and precise specifications.
- Curious and motivated to dive into the robotics space—no prior experience needed, but enthusiasm is essential.
Bonus: Experience working on DePIN protocols and other data-heavy web3 projects with on-chain components.
