re.al is a Layer 2 blockchain focused on Real World Asset tokenization and DeFi applications. We are building an ecosystem designed to merge the power of DeFi with the RWA market. To help us grow our presence and engage with our audience, we are searching for a DeFi Content Marketer to join our team and take charge of our social media strategy.

About the role

As a DeFi Content Marketer at re.al, you will be responsible for managing our social media presence across multiple platforms, including re.al’s official accounts and other key protocols within our ecosystem. You will develop a content strategy and be responsible for creating frequent brand and product content that aligns with our strategic priorities, driving awareness, engagement and audience growth amongst DeFi degens and retail crypto consumers.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in blockchain and DeFi, who not only understands the space but is also deeply involved in it. You will play a key role in shaping the voice of re.al, engaging with the community, and driving awareness through strategic content creation.

The ideal candidate is active in DeFi and Crypto Twitter and possesses a strong understanding of social content and growth strategies, staying current on content optimization trends to maximize impact within the Twitter algorithm. You’re a strong creative writer, conceptual thinker, succinct communicator. Most importantly, you know how to execute.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage re.al’s social media channels, including Twitter. You will create and schedule content, engage with the community, and ensure consistency in our brand’s messaging
• Develop an overarching social strategy and create the monthly editorial calendars
• Work with design resources to execute strategy and content development
• Bring key product deployments to life through the creation of integrated content campaigns
• Build brand affinity and differentiated tones across protocols
• Occasionally work with influencers or KOLs to produce trending content across key social platforms
• Implement co-marketing initiatives into your content strategy
• Foster audience interaction through the rollout of targeted engagement strategies
• Partner with the community manager to promote and support community initiatives
• Analyze and report on key social media analytics, making data-driven recommendations 
• Stay up-to-date on the latest best practices across social and implement them into our strategy
• Making memes and occasionally shitposting

Requirements

• 2+ years in social content/strategy, ideally in DeFi/crypto space, managing social media strategy and schedules for a protocol
• Proven track record in developing engaging social content that aligns with brand voice and resonates with varied audiences
• Brand and product copywriting, distilling complex product features into bite-sized value props designed to drive demand
• Proficient with Figma to create image assets for social from existing templates
• An eye for good design and/or aesthetics
• Understanding of content optimization for Twitter algorithms
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and align with organizational goals
• Great communicator, can clearly explain complex problems and engage support
• Location flexible as long as you can accommodate being online for at least 3 hours of the workday in the PST timezone
