ABOUT AVANT ARTE

Avant Arte is a curated marketplace that makes discovering and collecting art radically more accessible for a new generation. Our team of passionate experts collaborate with leading contemporary artists from across the globe to create bespoke limited-edition artworks to browse and collect. We began as a cult blog of contemporary artists and since 2015 we've grown our community to over 3.3 million strong across more than 100 countries. We're proud to collaborate with leading contemporary artists to create limited edition works - from sculpture editions and works on paper to NFTs and hand-finished silkscreen prints.

OUR CULTURE

We’re a small team with really big ambitions, both for what we want to achieve and also the environment we’re building. We want to create a company that remains thoughtful as we scale and tries to be genuinely progressive in how we operate. We want people to really own what they do and be given the autonomy and freedom to make mistakes, learn, and create something meaningful.

We all work incredibly hard because we really care about what Avant Arte is here to do – we’re looking for exceptional people who are proactive, hungry to learn, and want to put their pride in our collective achievements.

We know that creating an inclusive environment that promotes and values diversity is critical if we want to build something with impact and meaning. We believe that having diversity in age, background, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability, ethnicity, and perspective will make us an infinitely better company. We were shortlisted for Women in Tech’s Best Employer - Small Company and Best Benefits, and Otta’s top 100 startups to work at.

What we need:

We’re looking for a Collector Experience & Operations Executive to join our Sales team and help deliver a smooth, well-coordinated, and engaging collector experience.

You’ll play a pivotal role communicating with top-tier collectors, ensuring they receive timely, and relevant information throughout their journey, while capturing collector insights to share across the business. As a core member of the Sales team, you’ll combine hands-on collector communication with the operational coordination required to prepare our launches. Working closely with Client Services, CRM, Marketing, Product, and Content teams, you’ll ensure each release is accurately set up to provide a seamless collector purchasing journey.

We really do encourage everyone to proactively step outside of their job description if they see something that could be improved but the core of your role will involve:

  • Sales Operations

    • Manage and coordinate the setup of product listings in Shopify and Storyblok prior to releases, partnering with Content, Artist, Warehouse, and Product teams.

    • Oversee freelancer(s) supporting product builds, ensuring all listings are accurate and complete.

    • Ensure delivery of all product-related assets (images, copy, metadata, etc.) in line with publishing timelines.

    • Operate additional sales processes including draws, private room builds, and shipping profile setups.

    • Support the Senior Sales Lead with daily operational tasks, sales reporting, and actions to ensure successful product launches.

  • Collector Communication & Experience

    • Manage and deliver personalised, sales-focused communications to top-tier collectors via email and WhatsApp, ensuring interactions are timely, relevant, and designed to engage, convert, and strengthen collector relationships.

    • Act as a trusted sales advisor to top-tier collectors - responding to inbound enquiries, offering informed guidance, and helping progress interest toward purchase.

    • Identify new collector opportunities, tailoring communication and engagement approaches (e.g. high-touch WhatsApp vs CRM campaigns).

    • Support CRM initiatives that drive collector engagement and sales through personalised and targeted messaging.

  • Collector Insights & Demand Feedback

    • Conduct research and analysis for key releases when required, identifying audience insights, demand trends, and compelling selling points.

    • Gather and share collector sentiment, pricing feedback, and engagement insights with the wider demand and sales teams.

    • Provide actionable recommendations to optimise product positioning, communications, and overall collector engagement strategies.

  • Cross-Team Coordination & Continuous Improvement

    • Work across Sales, Product, CRM, Content, and Marketing to ensure workflows for launches and communications are well-coordinated and efficient.

    • Maintain accuracy across systems such as Shopify, Storyblok, and communication tools.

    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce friction for both internal teams and collectors.

    • Contribute to internal documentation, templates, and best practices that support clarity and consistency.

The main skills we’re looking for are:

  • 2+ years of experience in a sales, CRM, or customer experience role, ideally within the art, luxury, or e-commerce industries.

  • A strong customer-focus, going above and beyond to create an exceptional experience.

  • Excellent organisation and efficiency- able to manage multiple projects, prioritise effectively, and meet tight deadlines.

  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, comfortable navigating ambiguity and responding to new challenges.

  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication, with a professional and considered tone.

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective relationships across teams at all levels.

  • A practical problem-solving approach, with the ability to resolve issues and improve processes creatively and pragmatically.

  • High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and quality across all deliverables.

  • An analytical and insight-driven approach- able to interpret sales and collector data, identify trends, and translate insights into meaningful actions.

  • Digital confidence, able to work across multiple tools and systems; proficiency in Google Sheets (or equivalent) is essential.

We think you’ll probably have:

  • Familiarity with digital sales operations, content management systems, and CRM tools.

  • Experience with Shopify, Storyblok, and Hubspot is highly desirable.

  • Enthusiasm and curiosity about contemporary art, with an understanding of the art market.

Don’t meet every single requirement? Avant Arte is dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic team so we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

BENEFITS INCLUDE:

  • Generous equity allowance

  • Private Healthcare (UK)

  • Enhanced pension contributions and parental leave policies

  • 25 days of holiday plus four extra company wide days on Kings Day (national holiday in the Netherlands which falls in April) and for our winter office closure from 25th December to 1st January

  • L&D budget of €1000 per year per employee

  • Regular company socials
