Why This Role Exists
The Upside team is looking for a talented and motivated inside sales lead to spearhead our quickly growing needs for account management and growth. Your goal will be to meet ambitious growth targets over the coming quarters and years with a focus on the Web3 sectors of Financial Services, Project Creation, NFT creation and DAO technologies, while managing the end to end sales cycle.
Skills + Requirements:
- You have 3-5 years of successful sales experience
- You have a deep interest in Web3 and crypto including directly holding cryptocurrency, buying an NFT and/or participating in a DAO.
- You have experience selling professional services (preferred)
- You have a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quota while winning new customer business
- You have a consistent track record of engaging resources that align with customer objectives
- You demonstrate a strong customer orientation, dedication, and passion for delivering a great customer results
- You are a great problem solving skills around technical, product, and business questions
- You have experience working with legal and other internal teams to craft and deliver proposals and SOWs
- You have strong presentation skills and the ability to engage audiences
- You are able to relate technical concepts to customers of all technical backgrounds
- You can effectively work in a remote environment.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- You are collaborative and team oriented
- You have strong technical aptitude and the ability to become deeply fluent in Upside’s technology and the industry we are in
Responsibilities:
- This role will focus on managing two different types of inbound leads:
- Clients being handed off to us from a strategic partner who will require an introduction (demo) to our product, and a clear understanding of the value-add our product provides as they select what level of service they want to engage in.
- Qualified individuals and businesses who have inbounded through our site (via paid and organic channels) that require product demonstrations as the first step in the sales process.
- You will own both of these types of leads from introduction to close. This is an end to end sales cycle.
- Teach customers about web3 and smart contracts; and offer unique insights to encourage customers to think differently about their business and discover the true value of working with Upside.
- Sell value and provide real ROI analysis with our products and services for our new customers. Work programmatically with customers on expected results to show them how to improve their business by properly using the Upside product and services.

In the first 30-days:
- You will learn our product from the ground up, working closely with our product team to understand the value we create and the nuances of the platform
- You will draft presentations for potential clients
- You will work with the CEO to optimize your pitch and the value propositions
- You will give a few product demonstrations to new leads
In the first 90-days
- You will have presented our product to dozens of leads
- You will have closed a percentage of those leads
- You will have standardized our sales documentation and presentation materials
- You will have provided recommendations on tools and methods we can implement to improve the sales process
