Job Overview:
As a Digital Asset Product Controller at Animoca Brands, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the financial reporting related to our Digital Asset trading portfolio. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, monitoring the portfolio's financial performance, monitoring position valuation, conducting insightful analyses, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of daily P&L, daily risk and month-end close process for the Digital Asset Trading Desk
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of revenue reporting, and provide detailed analyses and commentary to senior management
- Develop a deep understanding of the drivers of product profitability, and provide comprehensive analyses of the financial performance of the desk
- Manage the balance sheet with a focus on the Cost of Funding
- Collaborate closely with the Digital Asset Traders, Digital Asset Operations Team, and Digital Asset Accounting Team to ensure reporting accuracy and alignment
- Lead the monthly ledger close process, including reconciliations, variance analysis, and detailed commentary
- Conduct monthly business review meetings with the trading desk to sign off on the P&L
- Proactively identify and address control-related issues, and oversee the associated remediation plans
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or a related role
- Proficient in managing the P&L and month-end close process
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a robust control focus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships
- Familiarity with web3 technologies, blockchain-based financial products, centralized and decentralized exchanges is highly advantageous.
