As the company rapidly grows we are seeking a dedicated and well-organisedIT Support Specialist who is happy helping colleagues at the Berlin office in a wide range of Information Technology related task. As IT Support Specialist you will be the first point of contact for IT Support inquiries and questions across a remote first company with colleagues all over the world. Organising, prioritising and resolving (and researching about) these hardware or software requests will be one of the main tasks that will fall into your belt.

IT Support Speciliast will be part of critical back office processes that like onboarding, off-boarding, asset purchase and return that keep our company running smoothly. IT Support Specialist will contribute to build the documentation for the area, and you will help to create, design and implement the flows of information and actions of IT Support in a fast scaling company.

The position will be based in Berlin, Germany. This position is strongly tied to the physical location of the Berlin office, although remote work is possible depending on the day to day situation as you might need to go to the office. This is not a full remote position.

You will need to:

  • Serve a first point of contact helping your colleagues to resolve IT related issues - software and hardware - in person or remote.
  • Learn and be able to teach others on how to use different technologies of a different range of complexity
  • Purchase, organise, handover and maintain the Tech assets located in our Berlin HQ.
  • Ensure your colleagues have the best network connectivity in our Office.
  • Help our People Ops team to onboard new joiners and off-board leavers the best way.
  • You provide technical assistance for our workshops or other live events

We expect you to:

  • Have a great grade of autonomy inside the boundaries of your authority domains.
  • Prioritise your own work that can range between user requests, project base work and recurrent back office tasks.
  • Have enough knowledge of Linux and Mac operating systems to be comfortable and sure when helping your colleagues.
  • Manage the command line interface with ease - both in Linux and Mac OS X environments.
  • Solid knowledge of LAN networks and protocols.
  • Have a transversal team mindset and be able to sync with teams of very different nature inside the company.

And ideally also:

  • You like working with people, and people like to work with you.
  • You don’t crack under stressful and challenging situations.
  • You are a curious individual with eagerness to learn new things.
  • You like to ask questions.
  • You are experienced with consumer grade AV equipment or you are not afraid to play with it until you master it.
  • You are experienced with Unifi network equipment.
  • You speak German fluently.
