Design and implement search engine algorithms and indexing strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and user requirements. Develop and maintain search engine infrastructure for optimal performance. Implement and optimize relevance and ranking algorithms for search results. Stay updated on emerging search technologies, tools, and best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to search engine functionality. Collaborate with software engineers to integrate search functionality into applications. Analyze user behavior and search patterns to improve search engine performance. Provide technical support and training to development teams.

  Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Retrieval, or a related field. Proven experience as a Search Engine Engineer or in a similar role. Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++. In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms and data structures. Familiarity with information retrieval concepts and techniques. Experience with search engine technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

  Preferred Skills

Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning in search. Familiarity with distributed computing and cloud-based search solutions. Knowledge of search relevance evaluation metrics. Understanding of semantic search and entity recognition. Previous experience with large-scale search infrastructure.
