EVG is looking for a Paralegal!
Everest Ventures Group (EVG) is a venture studio that focuses on the paradigm-shifting opportunities of digital assets and blockchain technologies backed by a consortium of renowned Asian conglomerates, family offices, and business leaders. We are a team of serial entrepreneurs, VCs, and financiers in their 20s & 30s, with venture partners and sister companies on both sides of the Pacific. Kikitrade, Aspen Digital, Vibra are the 3 incubated crypto projects under EVG.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Head of Legal on full spectrum of administrative support
- Conduct research and monitor the latest development on the law and regulations relating to blockchain, digital assets and any other matters relevant to the businesses of the company
- Provide legal and compliance support to company business units based in Hong Kong and overseas
- Assist with regulatory license applications in various relevant jurisdictions
- Provide legal and administrative support for a wide range of corporate actions (e.g. fundraising, M&A, restructuring, etc.)
- Draft and review various legal documents for approval and execution
- Liaise with external counsel and other counter-parties
- Assist with any special projects or ad hoc tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Holder of a degree in Law or related disciplines
- Fresh graduates are welcomed
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese).
- Experience in the financial services industry focused on legal and compliance or AML/CTF is a plus
- Good interpersonal skills and be prepared to work diligently in a fast-paced working environment
- Interest in the blockchain industry, cryptocurrencies and working in a startup environment
- Immediate available is preferred
This position is full-time and will be working in Hong Kong. Pay will be competitive and based on talent and experience.
