As a DevOps Support Engineer, you will play a key role in our Platform Engineering and DevOps team, focusing on cloud-native technologies. This position is crucial for supporting our development teams in their current operations while guiding them through a strategic migration to our next-generation platform.
Some of your key responsibilities in this role will include:
- Provide hands-on support to development teams in their use of Kubernetes, AWS EKS, GitOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines (including Github Actions, Tekton), HashiCorp Vault, Docker, Kustomize, Helm, Golang, Bash, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
- Support and facilitate the migration of second-generation platforms to our advanced third-generation cloud-native platform.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to understand their needs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize their cloud-native workflows.
- Implement and advocate for best practices in cloud infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on security and scalable architecture.
- Contribute to the development of internal tools and automation to improve efficiency and effectiveness of development and operations.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in cloud-native technologies and contribute to the team's continuous learning and improvement.
To be successful you will have:
- Proven experience in Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong background in AWS services, particularly EKS.
- Experience with GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and related tools such as Github Actions.
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience in scripting and automation using Golang and Bash.
- Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, with hands-on experience in Terraform.
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with development teams.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
