At Metallicus, we are shaping digital money and revolutionizing the way people transact by building the decentralized financial infrastructure of the future. To date, we have launched and operate Metal Pay (digital banking and crypto wallet) and Proton SDK a distributed ledger for identity and interaction with the card and banking payments settlement layer.
We are currently looking for a Data Engineer, to help design and build out our next generation data platform. We use data and analytics to create customer-centric digital asset banking applications. Our ideal candidate is someone that is self-directed and has the knowledge and experience to designing data solutions from scratch. That person should be able to work with relational, graph, and time scale databases, and understand modern techniques for streaming, collecting, and transforming data. In addition, the candidate will bring a solid software engineering background and use it to build data pipelines and data infrastructure-as-code.
Responsibilities
- Work with cross functional stakeholders throughout the organization to determine their data needs
- Collaborate with the engineering and developer operations teams to ensure that needed data is collected
- Design and implement data pipelines to ingest data from many internal and third party data sources
- Design and implement data warehouses, data marts, and/or data lakes as needed
- Create infrastructure with code and use modern day CI/CD principles for our data infrastructure
- Ensure that we are following good data security and privacy principles, being aware of data sovereignty regulations
- Set up and own data pipeline monitoring systems
Required Skills
- 1+ years in a data engineering role
- Python
- SQL
- Terraform or similar IAC framework
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Data pipelines
- Experience with continuous integration and delivery
- Experience ingesting data from third party providers such as Google Analytics or Segment.ioÂ
