About You

Galaxy manages a diverse portfolio of largely private investments across the digital assets industry. Our venture portfolio invests in traditionally structured companies as well as in those building digital asset networks powered and capitalized by tokens. Our investment objective is to identify, invest in, and support category-defining companies and networks that we anticipate will grow the cryptoeconomy and shape the adoption of the ecosystem.

Candidate sought for risk manager role within Galaxy's risk management team. The candidate should have prior work experience in risk management and deep knowledge of digital assets. Your role is to collaborate with portfolio managers on portfolio construction, investment and risk analysis and ensure that the CRO and senior management is informed of the risks.

On a given day at Galaxy, you will:

• Collaborate with CRO and Risk managers to establish risk management framework for Galaxy’s Venture Books
• Identify, measure, and manage market and operational risks across Galaxy’s multiple business lines
• Leverage on-chain information to enable data driven decision making and risk management
• Build tools to extract information from DeFi protocols
• Assist in the development and maintenance of systems to calculate risk metrics
• Communicate with risk takers to assess positions and volatility
• Produce risk reports for risk takers, risk managers and senior management
• Analyze, assess, visualize, and report risks to CRO and senior management
• Monitor risks across multiple time zones

You’ve worked hard for:

• 2+ years of experience (finance or development)
• Deep knowledge of Digital Assets and DeFi
• Degree in finance, computer science or other quantitative subjects
• Experience in Python, SQL, Excel and Tableau
• Good communication skills and is a critical thinker
