Zilliqa’s NFT Studio is on a mission to create transformative experiences for gamers, fans and NFT enthusiasts. We intend to work with the world's leading gaming, sports and entertainment brands and artists to design and implement their NFT and blockchain strategies.

Role

We are looking for a CTO to lead all aspects of engineering within the Zilliqa studio, including technical strategy, tech stack direction, best practices, process implementation and team management.

The CTO will also contribute to the overarching studio direction at a strategic level as part of the Zilliqa leadership team and will engage with partners, investors and advisors as required. A key part of this role will be to enable gaming studios to integrate NFTs and other blockchain functionality into their games. Experience in the gaming industry is therefore, highly desirable.

Responsibilities

As Zilliqa Studio CTO, you will be responsible for:

• Enabling the delivery of NFT / blockchain based projects for our clients and partners, such as gaming studios, esports teams and artists
• Working with the wider Zilliqa engineering team to develop frameworks and best practices to make it as easy as possible for gaming studios to build upon Zilliqa
• Creation and ownership of the long-term studio technology strategy
• Managing the end to end technology execution through the direct leadership of the wider Zilliqa engineering team.
• Provide hands-on technology leadership to the engineering team.
• Ensuring consistent best practices for software development, quality assurance, and maintenance.
• Keep up with the latest technologies in the blockchain space and understand when and where to adopt them
• Provide guidance and mentorship to our team of core engineers
• Peer-review the design and code of our other core engineers
• Support hiring process and ongoing talent development.

Requirements

• Passionate about the cryptocurrency and blockchain fields, especially the potential of NFTs and gamefi
• Computer science background
• Experience of a technical role within the Gaming industry
• Appetite for experimenting with new technologies and tools to drive innovation and creativity.
• Fast learner who will be able to keep up with the rapidly evolving blockchain and NFT ecosystem.
• Have worked on a diverse set of full stack technologies including experience with web, mobile, data and infrastructure.
• Hands on tech stack experience in several of the following areas:
• Experience working with Unreal Engine
• Good proficiency with C++
• Good proficiency with Linux operating systems
• Good proficiency with AWS and Kubernetes
