The Cega team is an extremely talented group of people with strong finance expertise and tech/startup engineering experience. We are fully remote but work closely together to achieve our mission with a focus on our core values.
The Role
We are looking for a Founding Engineer to join our newly formed Special Projects team and help accelerate the incredible products we ship. You will essentially be the chief technologist to bring various cutting edge experimental ideas to life from 0 to 1.
Responsibilities
MVP development
You will design, develop, and ship rough ideas to test hypotheses in the market. You will work directly with the CEO to build and test the products.
Required Qualifications
You are resourceful and have experience building out ideas scrappily, 0 to 1, in a very fast-paced environment.
We don’t look for an exact minimum number of years of experience. As an approximation, we’d expect that someone with 3-5+ years o full-stack engineering experience or someone who has worked as a technical founder in a seed-stage start-up
You have a strong grasp of financial markets and quantitative strategies
You understand how the financial markets work, you have played around with ccxt library before, you are interested in finding an edge in the financial markets
You have experience building smart contracts
You have built nascent systems that interact with blockchain RPC nodes and index on-chain transaction data
Important Traits
Crypto interest - you are excited about the crypto markets and have been avidly trading
Strong ownership - you take pride in what you ship, take responsibility for goals and timelines, and communicate issues/blockers clearly
Curiosity - when you encounter a problem, you want to dig deeper and learn more
