About Us

At Auros, we’re dedicated to advancing the cryptocurrency ecosystem through unparalleled liquidity and market-making services. We’re one of the largest participants in the market, trading across 10+ global locations, facilitating 3-4% of global daily volumes, and have connectivity to over 50 venues.

What sets us apart, though, is our culture. We believe in hiring smart people and empowering them to do their best work. From day one you’ll have the autonomy and support to really excel. Our relentless focus on delivery drives us to continuously push boundaries and achieve exceptional results, all while offering abundant opportunities for personal and professional growth in the dynamic realm of digital assets.

What we are looking for

This is a great opportunity to utilise your experience within High Frequency Trading in traditional markets and move across to the global cryptocurrency market. What does that mean? You’ll be exposed to fresh strategies within a growing asset class. The cryptocurrency market displays an additional level of complexity, which presents many interesting technical challenges requiring novel solutions across Market Making, OTC, Ventures and/or Arbitrage strategies.

We operate with a very flat hierarchy, meaning that you will work alongside the most senior team members as well as having direct contact with the founders of the firm on a daily basis. We are focused on performance and results - the people that can deliver in both of those areas will receive market leading compensation.

The Head of Arbitrage will be responsible for overseeing all trading activities within the Arbitrage book, managing a team of traders, and ensuring the execution of strategies that align with the firm's objectives. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial markets, and the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.

Job Responsibilities

  • Directly manage one of our major trading books during Asian hours, including all operational and trading-related issues as they occur in real-time
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6-8 traders, with oversight of entire Arbitrage desk, including risk management, optimization of trading activity and performance
  • Continuously look for additional sources of edge through analyses of our trading and the market
  • Work closely with the rest of our global trading and middle office teams to ensure trades are booked correctly, and reconciled between front and back office systems
  • Liaise with our key exchange counterparts on margin requirements, coin borrows, trade breaks, technical issues and market making requirements
  • Lead the improvement of existing trading strategies, as well as research/development of new strategies
  • Lead idea generation, strategy formulation, back-testing and implementation
  • Solve complex cryptocurrency derivative pricing problems
  • Develop models and tools to automate daily tasks
  • Develop and utilise proprietary back-testing and simulation tools
  • Investigate crypto-currency market related products - collect, organize and analyse the best solutions to match the requirements of our various trading strategies

Position Requirements:

  • We are seeking experienced traders who have worked in high frequency trading, with strong quantitative backgrounds who think in terms of probabilities and expected value
  • You’ll have experience in the design, development, testing and coding of trading strategies
  • Experience managing a team of traders in a fast paced environment
  • You are comfortable assisting with the design, development and improvement of complex risk management systems
  • Experience coding with Python, C++ or other relevant languages
  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Quantitative Sciences and Engineering or related disciplines

What We Offer in Return

  • Opportunity to work at the forefront of the digital asset industry
  • Remote and flexible work
  • Autonomy and a flat structure means you can contribute your ideas from day one and help shape the foundation that will power our future business.

At Auros, we value nimbleness, drive for success, owner mentality, and collaboration. Join us in shaping the future of financial services across Asia and beyond!
