DoubleZero is looking for a highly talented Head of Developer Relations to join our team as we support the launch of the DoubleZero protocol.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Help seasoned developers use DoubleZero. The developers using DoubleZero are seasoned professionals with a high degree of expertise (for instance, senior engineers at L1s, L2s, validators, etc.). You'll be their visible point person as they seek to implement the technology for their companies.

  • Be an active voice. Be the main DoubleZero representative in places where developers already congregate (eg. X/Twitter, the Solana Validator monthly call, Discord) and help as the technical lead on owned platforms (eg. DoubleZero's validator Telegram group).

  • Build the Developer Experience. Work in tandem with the Malbec Labs team to build world-class developer tooling, including APIs, explorers, libraries, etc.

  • Own our documentation. Write and maintain world-class documentation about how to use DoubleZero so that the process of getting started and succeeding with the protocol is as easy as possible for developers.

  • Optimize, optimize, optimize. Work relentlessly to make DoubleZero progressively easier to use by understanding developer challenges and push changes to the protocol that address those concerns.

  • Events. Represent DoubleZero at key industry events while working Marketing to ensure that attendance drives value for the protocol.

  • Internal voice of the developer. Represent the DoubleZero developer community internally, ensuring that the protocol addresses the needs of users and contributors. Serve as the conduit of information so that the protocol and associated documentation meet the needs of those using DoubleZero.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of total DevRel/development experience

  • 2+ years of crypto DevRel experience

  • Experience in/knowledge of the validator/MEV space

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity; can bring structure and focus to complex questions

  • Ability to prioritize appropriately and meet deadlines in high-pressure environments

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills

  • Comfort with technical enterprise products

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • An early-stage community expert - you have the experience and intuition to speak the language of early adopters.

  • A crypto or decentralized system enthusiast - you understand the potential of the technology for solving some of the world's most vexing problems.

  • You are a great communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.

  • An independent problem-solver - you can understand what’s most important quickly and proactively build solutions.

  • A scrappy team player with a high degree of ownership – you thrive in early-stage environments with lots of moving parts, priorities, roles, and responsibilities.

ABOUT DOUBLEZERO

DoubleZero is a decentralized, permissionless protocol that revolutionizes network performance for distributed systems like blockchain. The mission is simple: increase bandwidth and reduce latency.

DoubleZero increases bandwidth by filtering junk data that currently plagues validators and other network operators. DoubleZero reduces latency by connecting these filters with underutilized private fiber links in the form of a mesh network. By combining these improvements and routing the right data through optimized, low-latency paths, the DoubleZero protocol empowers blockchains and other systems to reach performance levels that are currently impossible.

In short, DoubleZero is a new Internet for distributed systems. It is supported by two organizations: DoubleZero Foundation, which drives the adoption, decentralization, security, and advancement of the protocol; and Malbec Labs, which develops the technical components of the protocol itself. We look forward to hearing from you.
