Lazer Crypto is a specialized team within Lazer, comprising more than 20 full stack, web3 native engineers dedicated to building modern dApps and web3 solutions. This team helps founders and growing teams accelerate their product launches across various blockchain ecosystems. Our notable web3 clients include Berachain, Base, Privy, Polymarket, Uniswap, Alchemy, and others.

This is a unique opportunity to work with some of the biggest crypto projects as they expand into the native mobile app world. Our team is distributed across North America, combining deep technical expertise with a commitment to being kind, supportive collaborators who build exceptional products.

Who You Are

• 5-8 years of professional experience in software development

• Proven experience in a consulting or client-facing technical role is required

• Blockchain and crypto project experience is a plus

• Expert in Android development using Kotlin

• Advanced expertise in Kotlin for Android development

• Strong understanding of Android architecture components and Jetpack libraries

• Experience with Material Design implementation and custom UI components

• Proficient in implementing sophisticated animations using Android's native animation frameworks

• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, React, and Node.js, with experience building or working with mobile applications

• Experience with web3 technologies is a plus

• Experience designing and maintaining SDK packages for Android platforms

• Knowledge of mobile crypto products and blockchain integration is highly valued

• Understanding of modern JavaScript libraries and APIs for frontend development

• Familiarity with Web3.js, Ethers.js, or other blockchain libraries is a plus

• Expert knowledge of Android app performance optimization, memory management, and security best practices for handling private keys on Android devices

• Knowledge of Google Play Store requirements and Android security best practices

• Problem-solver who thrives in consulting environments with experience managing client expectations and delivering on tight timelines

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Self-sufficient, autonomous engineer who takes ownership of projects with minimal supervision

What You'll Do

• Design, architect, and implement sophisticated Android dApps and blockchain applications for industry-leading clients across DeFi, NFTs, gaming, and infrastructure projects

• Develop cross-chain Android applications with smooth, performant blockchain interactions across Ethereum, Solana, and emerging L1/L2 ecosystems

• Create frictionless wallet experiences on Android with optimized connections, transaction signing flows, and secure key management solutions

• Collaborate with founders and technical leaders to shape mobile blockchain strategy and implementation roadmaps

• Make critical technical decisions ensuring scalability, security, and exceptional user experiences on Android

• Deliver high-quality code that meets performance benchmarks and security requirements

• Stay at the forefront of web3 mobile technologies, experimenting with emerging solutions and bringing innovations to client projects

• Collaborate with other mobile specialists to ensure consistency and best practices across Android development

• Contribute to open-source tools and libraries that advance the state of web3 mobile development

• Mentor other engineers on Android-specific blockchain integration challenges and solutions
