Are you passionate about data ownership and privacy? DFINITY is seeking a Senior Identity Engineer to join its Zurich headquarters and help build the next generation of decentralized identity. As a member of the Identity team, you will be working on Internet Identity (id.ai), designing and integrating privacy-preserving VC protocols for powering a growing ecosystem of applications on the Internet Computer and beyond. Your Responsibilities
Design and integrate VC protocols for Internet Identity (II) platform with a strong focus on privacy, interoperability, and usability. Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate tradeoffs, and shape technical solutions. Rapidly prototype and iterate on proof-of-concept implementations. Collaborating closely with cross-disciplinary teams including engineers, designers, researchers, and product managers.
You Bring
Experience integrating with VC issuers and building them (e.g., VC-DM, JWT-VC, SD-JWT VC, OpenID4VCI, OpenID4VP, SIOPv2, AnonCreds). Extensive knowledge of web authentication protocols (e.g., OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML, WebAuthn, etc). Strong experience with modern frameworks such as React; experience with Svelte is a plus. Working knowledge of at least one systems programming language, such as Rust. A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience. While the unique challenges at DFINITY have attracted many engineers with advanced degrees, your practical experience is more important to us than your educational background.
