About Astria
Astria is a shared sequencer network that replaces centralized sequencing, allowing many rollups to share a single decentralized network of sequencers that’s simple and permissionless to join. The shared sequencer network provides out-of-the-box censorship resistance and fast block confirmations.
Our team combines traditional experience in building and scaling teams at technology companies like Google and Meta, with crypto native experience from the most impactful businesses and protocols. We are backed by the leading crypto native investors including Maven11, 1kx, and Delphi Digital.
We are remote first, and employees aren’t required to live in any specific timezone. English is our primary language, and employees are expected to be generally available between 10 AM and 2 PM Mountain Time (MT).
About the Role
Astria is seeking a Head of Marketing to collaborate closely with leadership. Responsibilities include driving marketing initiatives, multi-channel marketing and content planning, and delivering upon measurable metrics. This candidate will also work with external partners to communicate new product and service offerings and optionally represent Astria at crypto events.
The ideal candidate can work independently as well as within a team and can work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Expand Astria’s strategic position and narrative in the market
- Design, manage and execute Astria’s key marketing initiatives and campaigns
- Work with designers and illustrators to further develop a unique visual identity for Astria and its marketing campaigns
- Build and manage a content production machine and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high quality pieces are consistently released on Astria’s owned channels
- Position leadership and team members for high external visibility at conferences, podcasts, Twitter spaces and through content
- Nurture relationships with major relevant news outlet, podcast, youtube channels and other mediums relevant to Astria
- Continuously refine the project’s website and owned channels to maximize developer conversion and user acquisition
- Drive user engagement and retention, and communicating back to product
- Drive content and manage social media to increase growth and awareness
- Organize events, including workshops and hackathons
- Build and manage an efficient and lean team to ensure marketing operations are reliably conducted
Requirements
- Previous experience leading marketing efforts for an infrastructure company
- Understanding of how to blend brand development and results-focused marketing
- 3+ years of experience leading marketing
- Previous crypto experience
- Twitter/X wizard
