As Head of Marketing for our Retail arm, CakeDefi, you’ll play a leading role in defining the strategy and initiatives that will take us from 1-10m customers.

What you’ll do:

• Define a clearly articulated marketing strategy to help us achieve our objectives, which focus firstly around deepening engagement with existing customers via organic means and delivering on our brand promise, and then preparing for substantial growth and new customer acquisition.
• Operationalize that strategy, by managing a cross-functional team of high-performing specialists across the full spectrum of marketing competencies.
• Employ a data-driven, full-funnel approach to marketing with measurable outcomes.
• Show deep understanding for customer behaviours, particularly in the context of the products and services we can provide.
• Work closely with the product team, to ensure that user engagement is a fully integrated part of the product design process.
• Think creatively, leveraging organic growth strategies first and foremost
• Contribute proactively to evolving the marketing function overall, establishing positive working relationships with other departmental leads - not least product and engineering.
• Paint a clear vision for the future of the retail brand.

What you’ll need:

• 8 years of progressive marketing experience in either Crypto, DeFi, Blockchain, FinTech or other relevant B2C high growth startups.
• Deep understanding of financial products and services, as well as a passion for decentralized finance.
• Proven experience in Product & Growth Marketing of financial products.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams of specialists in a fast-paced environment
• Expertise in social media marketing and strategy as well as thorough understanding of social networks, especially YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter.
• Experience in building communities to create a positive user experience and loyal customer base
• Experience in influencer marketing, email marketing and paid media.
