Lead Full Stack Web3 (Solidity) Developer

About the Role

What You'll Do:

• Understand key product needs and propose and implement technology solutions
• Architect and build robust and performant backend systems
• Help build and contribute to a high-performance & happy engineering culture

We're looking for an experienced full stack engineer to help take the platform from 0 to 1. We’re passionate about the Ethereum and music ecosystems, and ideal candidates are those excited to push the boundaries of current realities in each industry.

The next couple months at Y Combinator will be spent building a protocol to bring royalties on chain and standing up an NFT marketplace. From there, we hope you can help us shape music's corner of the metaverse, leveraging our initial NFTs to build communities around Decent artists.

Since the platform is still nascent, you will also inform product decisions, acting as a Product Manager and UX Researcher on occasion. This role has the potential to become leadership positions (e.g., Head of Product, Head of Eng) in the next 3-6 months, as Decent continues to grow.

We are closing a pre-seed round prior to YC (begins January 10, 2022), led by an all-star crew of investors, so are in a position to offer competitive salaries and equity incentive plans.

First & foremost, we're looking for entrepreneurial candidates who are excited to tackle novel challenges each day and motivated by the vision of reinventing the music industry via web3.

Ideal skills for Full Stack hires:

• Proficient with full-stack web development (React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Solidity - requirement for full stack)
• BS in Computer Science or similar field of study
• 2+ years of experience building decentralized applications (internships & independent projects included!)
