Web3 Marketing Content Manager

Hivemapper is a decentralized map built by people using their smartphone, dashcam, or drone. It represents a fundamental shift in how maps are built. Forward looking businesses use our Map API. Our broad customer base spans enterprise tech, mapping and navigation, transportation and logistics, insurance and real estate, etc.

*The Role: *

We’re looking for a Content Marketer who can help us tell the story of how people are contributing to the decentralized global map and how customers are using this new data source to drive their business. You’ll define our content strategy for our mapping network and products and build a program that reaches mapping, GIS, and the crypto communities all across the world.

A writer. You love writing and enjoy the challenge of distilling technical concepts into clear and engaging written materials
A storyteller. You have deep empathy for users and are able to adapt how you communicate to best reach and engage your audience
Adept at synthesis. You can work with domain experts across the company to gather insights about our capabilities, the industry, and competitive trends, and distill them into compelling content
Organized. You are able to manage highly interdependent, complex projects and keep various workstreams on track
A student of technology. You are keen to learn about how things work and are able to explain technical concepts in ways that are accessible to all readers
Knowledge about the broader mapping ecosystem - from OpenStreetMap to Google Maps to Mapillary and beyond.

You will:

• Guide the development of a product-focused content marketing program. This will include partnering with engineering within Hivemapper and experts beyond our team to create a content calendar and editorial plan for materials like blog posts, long form guides, whitepapers and more
• Research, write and edit content for our owned channels, working closely with a range of cross-functional teams—product managers, sales, design, PR, and more—to identify compelling stories and create content
• Track metrics to understand who and how people are finding the content you help develop.
• Think globally as we work to expand our solutions around the world, building a content strategy that is inclusive and scalable
• Hustle - work in startups requires lots of hustle to not only create compelling stories, but then get your stories out there.

Our ideal candidate will have:

• 5-10 years of relevant work experience in content marketing, writing, editing, journalism, or another relevant field.
• Outstanding writing and editing skills.
  
• Familiarity with SEO strategy and content development best practices is a plus.
• Experience in mapping, crypto networks, and B2B marketing

Compensation:

• $140,000/yr
• 0.1% to 0.2% equity
