RECUR is building the future of digital collectibles on-chain, known as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) – the newest Unicorn industry.

Global brands are interested in venturing into NFTs to establish new connections with their fans. However, they are very careful about who they work with, especially in the cutting-edge world of blockchain. RECUR is founded by the perfect blend of leaders in the brand licensing space and technology leaders from top cryptocurrency exchanges, digital asset trading desks, financial institutions, and blockchain software companies. Investors include Joseph Lubin, co-founder of Ethereum, Winklevoss Twins, Courtside VC, Hashed, and many more.

RECUR is seeking a Risk Manager to join its team full-time. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing team, where you will support RECUR’s global user base, ensuring safety on the platform as well as protecting the brands from unforeseen risks and challenges while entering the nascent and growing NFT space.

What you will do at RECUR

  • Understand and evaluate RECUR’s broad array of risk and architect a risk-management framework to combat these challenges as the company navigates through a new industry.
  • Serve as the RECUR’s primary “control challenger” by owning our control testing methodology, liaising with teams to develop best practices, evaluating design and/or operating effectiveness of controls, writing control assessments, and developing recommendations to partner teams for improving internal controls.
  • Design and manage monitoring plans, oversight, and Compliance assessments to ensure the framework is compliant with RECUR’s policies and procedures while meeting the constant demands of an evolving regulatory landscape.
  • Establish vision, operational objectives and work plans while being involved in policies impacting immediate operations.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Compliance and Risk to establish an incident response framework to ensure security of the company when responding to external and internal threats.
  • Lead a team of Risk Specialists responsible for working across the business to develop and implement cutting edge solutions to ensure RECUR's continued stability and success.
  • Use analytical skills to conduct Risk Process Improvement, Process Design & Process Excellence.

What you bring to RECUR

  • 3+ years of experience in a compliance, governance, process management function
  • Proficiency in evaluating company risks, and measuring controls effectiveness
  • Experience with design and implementation of risk governance frameworks
  • Ability to interpret regulatory guidelines and implement them in practice
  • Ability to organize & prioritize workload, and work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and changing deadlines
  • Knowledge of/aptitude with technologies such as Python, SQL and R
  • Nice to have but not required:
    • CFE Certification
    • CAMS Certification
    • Experience with blockchain analytics
