Job summary

In this role, you will build and operate a critical part of Atem’s technical infrastructure: The integration of on-chain carbon credits. By building the key technology for a transparent and efficient carbon market you will have a direct impact on fighting the climate crisis. You will join a purpose-driven engineering team that is excited to tackle challenges in uncharted territory. As one of Atem’s earliest employees, you can be involved with other aspects of startups that may interest you, including generating product ideas, talking to users, experimentation or marketing.

Tasks

In this role, you will have a strong engineering focus. Whether that’s writing smart contracts that interact with various carbon credit protocols or indexing and aggregating on-chain data. You will work with different blockchains and leverage third-party solutions. Ensuring quality and security via tests and audits is also one of your focus areas.

Requirements

For this position, we are looking for a self-starter that thrives in ambiguity and can envision successful outcomes. Solidity development experience is crucial. As a Senior Engineer, you should have great interpersonal communication skills, and shouldn’t be afraid of expressing complex ideas and executing them. Being able to balance velocity and quality in a quickly evolving product is a key requirement.

Nice to have

• Interacted with blockchains from the backend using Golang or TypeScript
• Prior experience with The Graph or spinning up your own indexing solution
• Understand the different attack vectors for smart contracts and backends
• Passionate about the blockchain industry with a desire for learning more
