Traders around the world transact the equivalent of billions of USD everyday on BitMEX.
We’ve been at the forefront of cryptocurrency exchanges since 2016, when we launched our XBTUSD perpetual swap. Fast forward to now and it remains the most traded cryptocurrency product of all time.
It changed the industry and has allowed us to continue innovating and expanding with new perpetual swaps, traditional futures and quanto futures products.
Crypto is changing, and we’re changing with it. We’re expanding our capabilities to serve a broader subset of users through establishing spot, custody, and brokerage capabilities, as well as information products and an academy. We’re hiring an increasingly more diverse employee base to help us achieve this, and setting the groundwork to invest in a more diverse crypto talent pipeline.
The Role
As we transform our approach and adapt to the “new normal” in the cryptocurrency space, we’re adopting a more principled approach to marketing technology and data.
We are seeking experienced candidates in the Marketing Technology space, to help us make the right decisions on the best off-the-shelf technologies, how to integrate them, and to identify where we can gain value from implementing specialised tooling in-house.
The role will also involve defining and implementing infrastructure and data pipelines for measuring conversions and providing targeted user experiences, as well as instrumentation and analytics.
As a new department, the Digital Tech team has the opportunity to define our own stack based on the best available technologies, and the budget we need to find the best possible solution.
Our current stack: Typescript, NextJS, React, Express, GraphQL, Redshift, Docker and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
- Integrate existing systems to enable sophisticated logging and analysis of web traffic
- Ensure the privacy of our users data is maintained by implementing novel techniques for tracking
- Identify, pitch, and onboard Marketing SaaS products to level up our customer experience
Qualifications
- Experience with implementing NodeJS services (ideally with Express)
- Experience with establishing development processes, configuring pipelines and deployments
- Supported high traffic, high performance public facing web applications
- Experience with MarTech products
- Nice to have:
- Marketing-specific experience, such as SEO optimization, Google Analytics etc.
- Knowledge of Docker/Kubernetes/Container Orchestration
- Knowledge of Terraform/Infrastructure As Code
- Experience defining Apache Airflow DAGs / ETL Pipelines
- Experience with Python
