Telcoin is expanding rapidly, with operations in nine countries and ambition to launch in many more. Our mission is to bring fast and affordable, user-owned financial products to every mobile phone user in the world. As part of our expansion, Telcoin seeks to hire its first writer-researcher to spearhead content creation and raise the company’s profile globally.

Job Description

As Telcoin rolls out services - in particular, its groundbreaking international remittance product - the company seeks a dedicated writer-researcher to help craft messaging that educates the market and attracts new users. The appropriate candidate will have their finger on the pulse of fintech, blockchain, and remittance developments in Southeast Asia and beyond. The candidate will keep a keen lookout for industry news and statistics that can be repurposed into blogs and social media posts that highlight Telcoin’s advantages.

Role Responsibilities

• Write 1-2 weekly Telcoin blog entries. Content will vary, but could include educational pieces about Telcoin products and services, reporting on fintech and blockchain industry news that is relevant to Telcoin and its mission, analysis of remittance and mobile money market trends, etc.
• Sync with interim marketing lead and community managers to craft social media content: tweets, Instagram posts, video text, etc.
• Generate marketing copy for local advertising campaigns.
• Assist with other writing and editing as required, eg. website and app content.

About You

• Fluent English and excellent copywriting skills
• Journalism or marketing background required (minimum 1 year professional experience)
• Deep knowledge of one or more of the following industries: fintech, blockchain, remittances, mobile money, telecommunications
• Independent and an expert at time management
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Thrives in a remote/hybrid work environment
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not mandatory for the right candidate
• Citizenship or legal right to work in the Philippines or Indonesia (no visa sponsorship offered at this time)
• Candidate must be able to furnish 3-5 recent writing samples
