Autumn Compass is an algorithmic trading firm combining the disciplines of software engineering, data science and economic theory to develop highly automated and profitable trading strategies. With no external clients, a flat management structure and an SRE culture in the team, engineers have the autonomy and support to innovate effectively and make an impact throughout the business.

As a site reliability engineer, you will oversee the effective operation of our full low-latency production stack, colocated at stock exchanges. Our ecosystem of high performance applications transact millions of dollars each day and form the core of our business. Your role in ensuring the reliability and performance of these systems is integral to our ongoing success.

Salary: $120-150k base + super + profit share

What you will do

• Manage critical application configurations enabling our trading strategies.

• Support applications trading in real-time production environments and build tools to ensure ongoing reliability and stability during market hours

• Use industry standard tools and services such as Prometheus and Grafana to provide monitoring and issue identification to ensure visibility and robust performance

• Collaborate with engineers and trading specialists

What you bring

• 2+ years’ experience in an SRE/DevOps role or similar

• Required: Experience in Python script development and testing, Linux proficiency

• Interest in real-time trading systems and financial markets

• Clear communicator with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset

• Useful but not required: Familiarity with financial trading ideas and concepts, IP networking, C++, C# and AWS
