Company Description

A Go Share is a program that enables employees to develop skills and experiences by working on a project within or outside of their team. Go Shares provide employees with an opportunity to develop their skills, learn about our business, and broaden their network within Visa.

Job Description

Community Growth: The focus of this work is building community through experiential go-to-market strategies that encourage product excitement, collaborating on opportunities that position us as a cultural brand and shaping unbiased, fact-oriented learning. This occurs through practices that leverage inclusion, equity and diversity to incubate high-impact outcomes that lead to economic and artistic empowerment (e.g., right sizing wealth gaps) for underrepresented groups not predominantly in this space.

This fits within the strategic vision for the business unit, making crypto easier to buy, build on top of, spend and understand. Community Growth focuses on making crypto easier to understand via

  1. Creator Program, a new Visa initiative launched May ‘22 focused on product strategy mentorship and entrepreneurial support for NFT creators as SMBs and digital commerce leaders.
  2. Community building initiatives, partnerships, and strategic initiatives that encourage learning, dialogue, capacity building and position Visa’s brand in a purpose-driven way. By incorporating culturally relevant and highly engaging means to connect globally with communities interested in this space, the community growth team has the chance to incubate ideas and provide feedback into the product development cycle for the business unit.  Communities in focus include: consumers, clients, developers, investors and operators across key I&D target areas mapped across Visa’s brand strategy refresh (e.g., black, latinx, lgbtqia, women, gen-z etc.,)

The goal of this function is to be a focal point in guiding how to make crypto more inclusive. Additionally, directly or indirectly help onboard the next 1B users in web3 in the next 5 years.

Ideally based in the SF Bay Area and can be in the San Francisco office

  • Execute and support the Visa Creator Program activation phase. Coordinate the planning of external and internal speakers for the engagement strategy, work cross-functionally with Digital Partnerships, innovation and Design, and Marketing to execute NFT commerce sales goals.
  • Support the execution, management and reporting of Visa Creator Program to various stakeholders.
  • Own the communication and program management objectives of the program under the leadership of their manager.
  • Conduct market intelligence and strategy research to support content and insights for the Creator Program
  • Contribute to the internal community (Visa employees) workstream; channel management, content development and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • A global mindset and ability to work in a diverse workplace
