About RealFi:

RealFi is on a mission to unlock capital to drive investment into underserved communities in emerging markets. RealFi is combining traditional finance with technological innovation to make borrowing and lending services more transparent, efficient, and available to a broader population. The venture aims to build investment capabilities and a marketplace to syndicate debt globally in a fully compliant manner. While the initial focus is on Africa, RealFi has global applicability and ambitions.

What the role involves:

As a UX Designer, you will help support the efforts to design a debt management platform for the venture. As a key member of the Product Team, you will work with the CPO of RealFi and the Head of Engineering to create functional and appealing features that create value for the investors and our internal credit analytics team.

  • Conduct user research, create personas, and map user journeys to deeply understand user needs and behaviors.
  • Collaborate with the Product Team to gather, assess, and integrate user feedback and data into the design process.
  • Develop and iterate wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to visualize ideas and ensure usability.
  • Translate complex requirements into intuitive designs using Figma, Sketch, and other design tools.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to ensure technical feasibility and accurate implementation of designs.
  • Conduct usability tests, analyze feedback, and refine designs to enhance the user experience continually.
  • Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and the credit analytics team to align designs with business goals and enhance the platform’s value.
  • Ensure consistency by creating and maintaining design systems, templates, and UI components that align with RealFi’s brand.

Who you are:

  • BSc/BA in Design, Computer Science, or relevant field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a UX Designer.
  • Expert knowledge of Figma, Sketch, and other industry-standard design tools.
  • Able to conduct user research, personas, and journey mapping to understand user needs using user-centered design.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating an eye for typography, color, layouts, and a great understanding of design systems.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, and other stakeholders).
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and prioritize deadlines.
  • Ability to think critically and solve complex user experience problems.
