We're looking for someone to join our Legal team (which currently comprises 3.5 full time employees), and ideally to act as deputy to our Chief Legal Officer.

The role:

  • Provide legal advice on, and draft and review contracts with partners, clients, and staff
  • Advising on corporate and finance legal matters
  • Monitor legal risk in documentation, and giving advice on which risks to accept and which to reject
  • Ensure legal compliance with client and employee due diligence requirements, sanctions law
  • Developing and protecting Nethermind’s intellectual property portfolio
  • Provide company secretarial and governance advice to group companies
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and data protection
  • Stay up-to-date with new legal regulations, and disseminate relevant information across the company
  • Oversee legal dimensions to other functions’ initiatives
  • Nice to have - good understanding of the blockchain and cryptocurrency ecosystem
  • Have good knowledge of financial-related regulations, and employment law
  • Work with HR, Accounting, and Product teams to ensure compliance
  • Work remotely and autonomously

You Have:

  • Full legal qualification plus strong relevant experience
  • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Enthusiasm for embracing LegalTech
  • Efficient and cost-effective, close management of external counsel costs
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills
